Race for PHACE
Chicagoland
Dupage County Forest Preserve Herrick Lake, Wheaton, IL
September 15, 2024
The Race for PHACE, an annual walk/run was formed in Pittsburgh, PA in 2013, by a group of parents who wanted to raise money to support the PHACE Syndrome Community. (PSC).
Now in the 11th year, the PSC is thrilled to have an event in the Chicago area for the first time!

This event, in the Chicago area, is being organized by Ryan Perry, an Eagle Scout candidate.

About Ryan...
I am a life scout of Troop 95 in Downers Grove, IL. I am a sophomore at Downers Grove North High School.
I am currently working on my Eagle project. For my project, I am organizing the first ever Race for PHACE in the Chicagoland area.
My brother Connor was diagnosed with PHACE Syndrome shortly after birth, and ever since, the PHACE Syndrome Community has been integral in supporting ours, and many other families affected by such a rare syndrome.
I have seen the rarity of the syndrome and struggles with diagnoses, treatment, and others understanding of it. Because of this I want to help raise awareness for PHACE syndrome and the PHACE Syndrome Community with my project.
I hope you sign up for the Chicagoland race and support such a small community that is funded largely on donations.

Please contact me if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Ryan
